Typically, it takes between 3-5 business days for the background check to be processed and then mailed out. There could be delays based on the volume of requests or any data returned that requires further investigation.
You can request a BCI copy from the State of Ohio Attorney General Office 877-224-0043 within 1 month of service for free to send to an address of your choice. However, if it’s after 1 month and up to 11 months you can request from the State of Ohio Attorney General Office for an additional fee. You can’t use a BCI check for multiple opportunities if they are for different reason codes. i.e. Nursing and Teacher. You can’t use same check for the FBI no matter what.
